The New Zealand Herpes Foundation is a registered charity (CC11276) and is governed by STIEF, a non-profit organisation. We rely on public support to continue the vital work of destigmatisation, education and support.

• maintaining our national, tollfree Herpes Helpline managed by a nurse counsellor
• producing free consumer information pamphlets which are distributed nationally to clinics and medical practices
• maintaining and producing national best practice guidelines and educational material for health professionals 
• public awareness campaigns to help reduce the stigma of Herpes and other STIs
• developing and maintaining our website
• helping to educate your community, change attitudes and beliefs and improve treatment outcomes (since people are more likely to seek treatment when they know the facts.)
